what's cooking?

Having two growing up kids (especially they're boys) and been away from tanah air sendiri..makes the duties in the kitchen as a routine already. The kids...(termasukla rihana and abahnya) enjoyed eating whatever is served since there's nowhere we can go to order for some special food. which means, kalau teringin tu..sendirila cari resepi..dan sendirila masak..(suddenly, i missed my home already...kalau di mesia..mak ada...chef segala masakan..dan restoran makan pun dekat..) but in here..what to do...be a chef in my own family la nampak gayanya..

and now, since it's a school holiday..the kids are always at home..and bet u, every half and hour..and sometimes..within that 15 minutes..dah jenguk dapur tgk apa yg boleh dimakan..

so, let's see what's been cooked for them these few weeks back..(of course..nasi is our makanan asasi..so cuma pelbagaikan rupanya saja la..)

1st Menu - Nasi goreng cina dicampur daging goreng, telur goreng, nugget, timun & tomato. tapi abah called it Nasi Goreng Selera #Tradisi - sempena nama restoran di Sek.7, Shah Alam (perghh..promote la pulak..:) )

2nd Menu - Nasi Beriyani Daging served with Ayam Masak Merah & Daging Beriyani. Keropok tu cuma snacks biasa beli kat kedai..Menu ni dimasak masa jamuan makan2 with Zakiah (Singaporean friend) & Fazila --- abah kata kalau kat Restoran Selera #Tradisi takde tukang masak sok..ummi leh jadi tukang masak bidan terjun :)

3rd Menu - Nasi Jagung served with Ayam Masak Serai & salad telur. Both recipes taken from k.Hanielize nyer fotopage (thanks k.liza..:) )

so, the rest..dah kenyang masuk lam perut..tak dan nak amik gambo..anyway, for the recipes of those nasi..can browse through at my cooking reference links..:)

Malaysian visitors

It was last Tuesday when I was in Sentrum and suddenly met with two Malaysian friends. It's very suprisingly and so co-incident that one of them is actually a friend of mine from the last Induction course (Kursus Induksi). So, Shahril and Dr Ismail (both are from FKE, UiTM Shah Alam) were here for a conference and it was held in the same building of my office..eheheh..(banyak betul co-incident nya ye)..Anyway, we're so happy meeting them...sebabnya kan..bukan senang nak jumpa Malaysian kat sini..and at the same time pun there's one more Prof from MIMOS/UIA (Prof Dr. Mohamed Ridza) having a conference also in NTNU.

So, we (the Malaysian students in Trondheim) got the chance to have a dinner together in my house and also welcomed our new friend just came last week, Foong.

Oslo's vacation!

wow!..it takes me a month to update new entries..apo nak buek. been so busy with the exams and kids at home..so, I would never had the chance to keep in still in front of the pc and write anything.

Ini pun it's because of abah's car is broke down again.so, we'd just sit at home..with my kids melompat sana sini..and ummi pun..take this chance to update on what's going on with us these few weeks back.

Oh ya..lupa nak bgtau..it's now summer already in Trondheim..walaupun summer, the weather is still tak menentu..sometimes it's raining, cloudy and when it's very hot..the temperature can be up to 28 degrees..(lebih kurang cam cuaca mesia la kan)..

since it's now summer, the school has closed until August. So, all the kids will always be at home with abah..and ummi, as being a student can't take any break actually, but there's actually no one in the office right now..people are taking their leaves and goes elsewhere..pi office macam diserang gagak gempita..and for the first time we had the chance to join other Malaysian students for a one week trip to Oslo last week.

so, here are some photos taken during our last vacation in Oslo.

the trip was so nice...and thanks to all Oslo's friends for the hospitalities and such a nice moments..hope to meet u all again..:) .. (and perhaps after this in Trondheim pulak kot ;) )

Rizqin's creativity

since I've not written for such a long time and today, I do have a little time to grab this opportunity on updating the blog, I would like to share the new achievement (huhuh..can we considered as an achievement?..heh! bukanlah..cuma new development kot)..of our second child - Muhammad Shahril Rizqin..

Actually this small little boy is going to be 5 end of this September but all the teachers treat him as a 3 or 4 years gutt (boy) sebabkan dia ni sgtla small in size and manja terlebih...tapi, tak sangka pulak..dalam kecik2 dia itu..ada bakat besar..ehehe..As according to his teachers..rizqin ni amat suka melukis and when he draw, he'll put all his imagination and illustration..

ini hasil lukisannya...ada org tgh naik horse dan gaduh dgn lagi sorang warrior..and yg best tu rupa2nya gambar tu dalam tv - hehehe..nampak tak arial tv atas frame tu

Norway Constituition Day - 17th of May 2008

Last 17th of May was an independence day of Norway (tak sure depa panggil independence day ke constituition day)...and since the weather was so good...we've got the chance to join their parade downtown..Actually, since the city is not so big...so the crowds can be considered not so big also..Trondheim ni boleh diibaratkan macam Melaka je la kot kalau kat mesia tu..kira macam bandar bersejarah gitu..so, for site seeing..much of the places are more to historical and of course fishery (huhuhu...yg ni akan cite lebih lanjut pada masa akan datang..my hubby has been addicted to this new activity...kat Malaysia dulu lama dah stop xtvt mancing ni..so, skg dah jumpa geng and dapat peluang..cuaca pun makin bagus and Alhamdulillah..so far 2 kali pergi mancing pulang tak pernah tgn kosong)..

masih pagi - perut lapar nih tak sempat breakfast tapi sebab budak2 ni excited sgt tak sabar nak pergi tgk parade..ikutkan jek la..

So, back to this important date for the Norwegian..we started walking from the faculty around 9 am..and because my kids were also wearing their costume..they're very proud and some of them took the chance to take photos with the kids..(bak kata abahnya, kat mesia pun kita tak beriya sambut hari kebangsaan macam ni ya)..tu la..this is a lesson for us..lepas ni rasanya kalau balik malaysia..pasti tak sabar nak tunggu 31 ogos and join the parade..as for the people here, they're really looking forward for the event and none of them missed it..all the shops were closed and they're all only in the sentrum to celebrate the day, with their traditional costume...and eventhough it's not a must but they did it as for their ownself..(tanpa paksaan, tanpa upah!)..ehehe..teringat lak masa sekolah2 dulu..masuk perbarisan sebab boleh dapat t'shirt free la...makan free la...apa2 lah mentality melayu...(dulu la kot)..rasanya skg seme dah ok..insyaAllah..:)

eventhough we're celebrating their day..but i do not know why..deep inside my heart...i really do miss Malaysia..(kata org walau camana pun..tempat sendiri mmg lagi best kan..)

those hectics days in April and May

it's been a long time..since I did not write or jot down anything here..been so busy with the life here...pindah randah punya kes yg tak berkesudahan...tu blm campur sibuk menyiapkan paper di department..and Alhamdulillah...this june will be the last sem in Spring 2008..so, hopefully after this I'll be in piece..huhuhu...maksudnya..kalau bz pun..cumalah dengan asmgt and papers deadline in the department but not those little small matters related to settling down our lifes' here in Trondheim city.

just wanna share with u all some photos taken during the last two months..some were in Breidablikkveien 64 (the house that we rent only for one and a half month before we, at the end got this new staff appartment - by SINTEF) and Alhamdulillah..this is the best one, ever...with the cheapest price and a very convenient place to live in..and here we are in Jonsvannsveien 87A...Eventhough it's in the upper floor but it's just 5 mins distance to my office and it's quite a strategic place for us..no hassle and the good thing is we do not have to think about moving out again..the contract ends until my study's finish..insyaAllah in 2010...
